We currently have two dogs we are looking to pet home.  It has been a very hard decision all round but we feel this is for the benefit of both of them however it is still going to be very hard for us so do not waste my time if you are not genuinely interested or can not offer the sort of home that they require then please do not contact us.  I will be asking lots of questions to see if you are suitable so again if this will offend then do not contact us.

This will be hard enough with out time wasters and people just being nosey

Shumba

We have been hoping that he would eventually decide that he was cut out to be a stud dog but it is not to be.  He is a really laid back cuddly boy who enjoys nothing more than sitting on your lap having a cuddle or brush.  Hence we feel he would be better in a pet home where he could get constant attention and cuddles on demand.  He does enjoy going for walks and visits to the beach etc but he does not have a high exercise drive and does not climb the walls to get it.  He gets on well with the girls he tries to be macho with the boys but it never works he just has not got it in him, he is good with cats, horses and livestock.  He loves children and would benefit in a family with older children that would give him attention and loving.

He is hipscored, microchipped and his KC paperwork is available to view and will be forwarded to the new owner on receipt of proof of neutering.

I stress that the only reason we are re-homing him is because we feel it would be of benefit to him he has no faults apart from being too lazy and not forceful enough to be a stud dog.

I am looking for a permanent pet home where he will get lots of love and attention, regular exercise and just be part of the family, preferably a family without any dogs or with a female so he does not have to compete with others.

Mufasa

We did try to re-home Mufasa last year but after a number of totally unsuitable people enquired we decided to see how he got on but he really needs to be in an environment with maybe just a female and where he will get lots of exercise that he so craves.  He has lots of brain but is very stubborn so needs an experienced owner who can work with that brain.  He is very loving and affectionate with humans both children and adults and with puppies or bitches but not good with other males.  He is toy orientated and likes to play with most things, balls, squeakies, tuggies.  He ignores the horses and most of the time ok with the cats although every now and then he can chase them so a cat free home would probably be better.

He is hip scored and microchipped all his KC paperwork can be viewed and will be forwarded when proof of neutering is recieved.

I am looking for a home that is active where he will get lots of regular exercise, so someone who does a lot of walking or cycling  or  perhaps agility and obedience.  He needs to be the only male and preferably just one female he needs someone with lots of time which we have not got to give him all the attention he deserves.  Must also be prepared to groom him lots as he likes mud and dirt and very often looks like he has been dragged through a hedge backwards.

He can be stubborn and demanding hence why experienced owner is required, if you put in the time he will reward you ten fold.

I have recently had a number of calls asking me to take on unwanted dogs not bred here at mysti-skies.  I do not have the facilities to take on rescue dogs & have to put the health and welfare of my own dogs first so can not risk bringing in unknown infections or diseases such as parvo virus or dogs of unknown temperament.

I would suggest in the first instance you contact the original breeder of the dog as many will take them back and re-home them for you or at the very least be able to assist you to find a new home.
