Mabuza is a large boned, very heavy coated lump with a huge heart.  He has a bold , outgoing personality and is very affectionate.   Mabuza has his own fan club and becomes the centre of attention where ever we go.  He has not quite realised that not everyone appreciates what a gentle giant he is and approaches everyone regardless for a fuss and cuddle.

He is an absolute star at training and a complete hooligan at home, but we love him anyway.  He also suffers with selective deafness at home but never misses a trick when we are out.  He gets on with all the girls & the boys most of the time & tolerates the puppies jumping all over him we just have to be careful he does not squash them when playing as he has no concept of the size difference.

 He carries the blue gene from his dad Kerchak of Aristima & the solid black gene from his mommy from Lorija,  so not only does he add some substance to our babies but also produces a nice mix of colours.  He is a very good dad producing consistent type with good bone & coat & an abundance of character including his selective deafness in some cases.

Asim  gets on with everyone and everything and loves nothing more than sitting on your lap having a cuddle or parading round with his latest catch. He has a beautiful dense coat and looks a little like a lion with a big mane around his head.

  He has a very laid back temperament & takes most things in his stride.  He does not have a high work drive but does enjoy working when asked, simply because he loves to please especially if it means he gets a cuddle for getting it right.  He can be quite a wimp at times but in the nicest way and often gives us a giggle at his reactions.  He gets on well with all the dogs what ever sex & loves playing with the youngsters, but he has to be centre of attention when a human is involved or he is most offended.

Asim is definitely a head turner and it often takes a long time to walk a very short distance due to the fact people keep stopping us to fuss him.

He is producing babies of consistent type & temperament and the boys seem to have daddies good coat.

Nelson joined us from Penny & Bruce & has settled in amazingly well.

He mixes very well with the other female dogs and youngsters but is a little less happy mixing with the adult boys. He has become best friends with Karissa & John but his ultimate favourite is his ball.  He is not fussed what type of ball as long as it is a ball, or the remnants of one he has popped.

Nelson is what I call a happy dog he is always wagging his tail & has a glint of mischief in the eye & he does push his luck on a regular basis but that is what gives him his character & makes him the dog we all love.  He is a very affectionate boy & really enjoys having cuddles & has to be first when it comes to having a brush.

He did not have the best of starts so therefore can be quite aloof with strangers especially women & will often be quite ignorant to start but this is usually temporary especially if the visitor is willing to throw his ball for him.  He also prefers to make friends with you rather than be forced into friendship on your terms.

He has produced us two lovely litters one which he planned himself producing just three stunning puppies with Ashwa & a beautiful litter with Spirit which we planned.

Mufasa is a son of our lovely girl Mika & definitely has his mommies demanding traits. He is owned by Roxanne & knows exactly how to train her to his liking.

He has definitely inherited his moms selective deafness & energy levels & constantly pushes his luck but then looks at you with them big brown eyes and all is forgiven.  He is not a very good boy with adult males but loves the females and the babies but definitely likes to be centre of attention so loves people.

Mufasa loves squeaky toys, balls & Frisbees and seems to have a never ending supply of energy so much so that we felt he may be better in a pet home where he would have constant one to one time but after a number of enquiries from unsuitable homes we decided it was meant to be that he remained with us.

He has produced two lovely litters for us & passed on that wonderful coat to all his babies but he also passed on the livewire temperament so they have kept their owners busy.

Shumba is the son of Nuka & has definitely inherited her laid back, cant be bothered trait.  So much so that we actually decided recently since he was too lazy to stud we would have him neutered & retire him he obviously thought different & was quite happy to oblige with Kula.

He belongs to Katrina  & knows she is a soft touch.  He is a very gentle soul he loves to please and likes to be centre of attention but is not pushy. He is extremely sensitive to people and can pick up on their emotions very easily.  He is the cuddliest dog I have ever known and so laid back he is literally horizontal hence why up to now he has not been a good stud dog he just cant be bothered. 

Shumba will more than likely be neutered in 2012 & remain as a pet only as he does not seem cut out for stud work.

He has a lovely temperament & gets on with all the dogs & any humans that will cuddle or play with him.

He has a certain presence which is hard to explain but everyone who visits & spends time here is just drawn to him, it may be his clown personality he does have a knack of making you laugh.  He also has quite a stubborn streak which he will try with everyone.

He also manages to get himself into trouble on a regular basis & it was because of this he had an accident as a young puppy and damaged his eyelid he had to have surgery so now has a scar on his right eyelid & it is slightly mis-shaped.  It could probably be corrected with more surgery but it does not detract from his handsome looks and his personality so we feel  why put him through more surgery when it is purely for cosmetic reasons only.  It will have no effect on his babies and most people do not even notice until it is pointed out.

He is a short coat but has a very thick plush coat & carries the long coat gene from his parents, he also possibly carries the blue gene but this we will have to wait to find out.
