Mabuza is a large boned, very heavy coated lump with a very big heart.  He has a very bold , outgoing personality and is very affectionate.   Mabuza has his own fan club and becomes the centre of attention where ever we go.  He has not quite realised that not everyone appreciates what a gentle giant he is and approaches everyone regardless for a fuss and cuddle. He is an absolute star at training and a complete hooligan at home, but we love him anyway.  He also suffers with selective deafness at home but never misses a trick when we are out.  He gets on with all the girls & the boys most of the time & tolerates the puppies jumping all over him we just have to be careful he does not squash them when playing as he has no concept of the size difference.  He carries the blue gene from his dad Kerchak of Aristima & the solid black gene from his mommy from Lorija,  so not only does he add some substance to our babies but also produces a nice mix of colours.  He is proving to be a very good dad producing consistent type with good bone & coat & an abundance of character.

 

Shaka Myskies Zulu King 20/01/08 Hip Score: 8/9 Height @ shoulder: 26" Weight: 33kg Blue Long Coat Haemophilia clear Shaka: African Meaning: Name of a Zulu King

Shaka is a Maska & Cocoa son.  He has inherited both mommy's and daddy's traits.  He is active like his mom but like his dad just loves to be around people although a little cautious with strangers. He is at last maturing into quite a handsome chap with a really good dense coat, although quite tall and chunky boned he still has a lot of filling out to do.  His dad was also slow maturing but was worth the wait.  He does not make it easy to get a good photograph of him and we can take hundreds just to get one or two decent ones, hence his pictures tend not to do him justice. He has a nice outgoing personality  although he prefers ladies and completed puppy class in his stride.  He learns extremely quickly and loves a lot of mental stimulation, but is just as happy just interacting with the family, wondering around the farm watching what is going on, in fact he much prefers to be sat at your side having a cuddle than playing with the others.  He gets on with all the dogs and is quite submissive with the other males but does love to play with the puppies and Kirsties Jack Russell Button. Although we are looking forward to his babies he is proving a little aloof on the mating front at the moment so we will just have to be patient, I am sure they will be worth waiting for, we are hoping to have some Shaka babies at some point during 2010.

Shumba Myskies Spirit of Flames 12/11/08 Hip Score: 9/8 Height @ shoulder: 26" Weight: 35.5kg Haemophilia clear  Red Sable Long Coat Shumba: African Shona Tribe Meaning: Lion

Shumba is a son of our lovely girl Nuka & daddy is  Saxon who is owned by my friend June of Aristima GSDs. He has a very laid back temperament like both mom & dad and enjoys a cuddle from anyone who will oblige. Although he has his moments he prefers to watch all the action rather than take part  I think its just all too much effort. Shumba is a very gentle soul he loves to please and likes to be centre of attention but is not pushy. He likes to take his time to get to know strangers but is soon friendly once he has sussed you out.  He is extremely sensitive to people and can pick up on their emotions very easily.  He gets on with all the dogs and enjoys just milling around with any of them but loves his human cuddle time too. He is taking his time to mature & fill out but I know it will be worth the wait.  We will hopefully have his first babies during 2010

Mufasa Myskies Mystical Spirit 17/2/09 Hip Score: 4/10 Height @ shoulder: 25" Weight: 34kg Haemophilia clear Sable Long Coat Mufasa: African Meaning: King

Mufasa is a son of our pretty girl Mika &  like his mom he has those lovely markings but of a different shade.  He has  a wonderful plush coat, he is not the tallest of boys but has very chunky bone structure. He is very clever & is learning new things extremely quickly but is also testing to the limits every chance he gets.  He can manipulate anyone into fussing him or giving him a cuddle and usually on our outings it takes twice as long as normal when he is with us.  He is proving to be quite a hit round here. He hates being brushed & makes life very difficult at grooming time but I think it is more that he does not want to keep still long enough to be brushed it is too boring. He gets on with all the girls & pushes his luck with the boys sometimes.  He always has a busy mind and likes to explore on his free time & we have to watch him with the horses as I am sure he thinks they are just big dogs & does not have a clue of the dangers they can pose, it is just someone else to play with. We hope to have his first babies later this year if he is ready to be daddy
