Our puppies are born in the house and live inside with us until 4 weeks of age. They are handled by the family only up to 4 weeks. We start to groom them and get them used to being handled and touched everywhere including ears and mouths.
From four weeks they are introduced to other dogs, cats, horses and a never ending list of volunteer humans of all shapes, sizes and ethnicity.
They are raised on a natural diet of raw meat, bones, pulses, eggs, vegetables and fruit. This enables them to grow at an even rate and reduces the risk of joint and health problems in the future.
By the time they leave us they are used to most animals, children, adults, all manner of handling and noises including washing machine, vacume and every day household hustle and bustle. They will have had parvo-virus inoculation and been micro chipped. The owner leaves with a well adjusted, healthy bundle of fluff.

Some of our puppy owners have left messages on our guest book please take a look.
We also received this letter from Dee Paffett (Former Dog Warden) who recently purchased a puppy from us and would like us to share it with you
Sadly our German Shepherd died in February ages 16 years. We decided we wanted another and so we on the internet and through a huge list of dogs for sale. Suddenly three words popped up "big boned, temperament & straight backed". This was the three things I was looking for. I contacted the breeder Karen Park of Mysti-skies. I explained to Karen what had happened with our Sam & she invited us down to take a look at her kennels.
Still being shell shocked from Sam's death we drove down to the kennels. When we turned into the kennels we were greeted by happy German Shepherds adults and puppies. We could not keep our hands off them. Karen introduced us to the beautiful mom; she was happy to see us, then she introduced us to the handsome dad. He came out of the kennel and proceeded to collapse on the floor to have his tummy rubbed. Anyone who knows German Shepherds, know them as a guarding breed & to behave in that manner to absolute strangers I thought was fantastic.
We then met the remaining puppies and fell in love with Shadow. Karen invited us to come down to the kennels as many times as we liked to get to know Shadow. We made regular trips to the kennels and got to know her.
When the happy day arrived, we collected shadow along with a few bags of goodies. On the way home she sat on my lap. She did not cry once, but fell asleep on my lap. We got home and she met our cats and ponies and family. On the first night , I put her blanket on the floor in our bedroom and she fell asleep (not crying once). Over the next two weeks we worked hard to get her toilet trained. By the end of the two weeks she was house trained and telling us when she needed to go and "be quick". Each week we taught her new skills. At 9 weeks she would sit on command, 10 weeks, she would lie down and roll over. During that time I got her used to her collar and lead and by 12 weeks she was able to walk to heel on the lead. We used the tick list that Karen gave us to make sure shadow was being socialised to everything. She has not been fazed by anything we have introduced her to. We took her to her first puppy training class this week and the instructor was amazed at how well adjusted she was and she was the best German Shepherd he had seen for a long time.
I am so thankful to have found a breeder who is so dedicated and knowledgeable with regards to the breed. Karen thank you so much.
Dee Paffett
